Waiting on Wednesday: The Storyspinner (The Keepers' Chronicles #1) by Becky Wallace

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This weeks book that I'm desperate to get my hands on:

The Storyspinner (The Keepers' Chronicles #1) by Becky Wallace

Publication: March 3, 2015

Genre: YA, Fantasty, Romance, Adventure

Goodreads Summary

Drama and danger abound in this fantasy realm where dukes play a game for the throne, magical warriors race to find the missing heir, and romance blossoms where it is least expected.

In a world where dukes plot their way to the throne, a Performer’s life can get tricky. And in Johanna Von Arlo’s case, it can be fatal. Expelled from her troupe after her father’s death, Johanna is forced to work for the handsome Lord Rafael DeSilva. Too bad they don’t get along. But while Johanna’s father’s death was deemed an accident, the Keepers aren’t so sure.

The Keepers, a race of people with magical abilities, are on a quest to find the princess—the same princess who is supposed to be dead and whose throne the dukes are fighting over. But they aren’t the only ones looking for her. And in the wake of their search, murdered girls keep turning up—girls who look exactly like the princess, and exactly like Johanna.

With dukes, Keepers, and a killer all after the princess, Johanna finds herself caught up in political machinations for the throne, threats on her life, and an unexpected romance that could change everything.

Why I'm desperate for The Storyspinner:

I'll admit as soon as I read the words, "Drama and danger abound in this fantasy realm.." I was so in. I didn't even finish reading the whole summary and I was like OMG! I NEED this book! Of course later I went back and read it all and it just made my want even greater. I mean murder and a lost princess is totally the kind of thing I love also add in some romance and oh god you better be ready to see me obssess and whine over how impatient Iam.  I have high expectations for Johanna (the MC) I'm hoping she's not one of those damsel in distress types (although they're sometimes my guilty pleasure. I'm weird like that I only accept those sometimes though. Sometimes. If the guy makes me swoon that'll make up for it. ) On a side note Johanna is my sisters middle name though she hates it and I love calling her by it because I'm evil like that! Kidding about the evil part maybe, I think it's a pretty name I don't know why she doesn't. Don't you?

  5. To think of it, I haven't read fantasy that I've liked in quite a while now O.O I've been in this incredibly long phase where I am constantly craving contemporaries, huh. Anyhoo, I'm going to keep this one under my radar for now, because it looks like it has a lot of potential!

    Great pick! <33
