Weekly Recap #1
Hey guys, I know I haven't posted much and I'm totally sorry about that. But it was totally worth it because it gave me time to read a lot of great books aaand binge watch Asian drama's that I've been missing out on and putting off for quite some time. But that also means that now I have quite the amount of reviews to write. Oops!
Anyways these are just recaps on the books and shows I watched last week that I plan on reviewing later this week.
Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay
I really loved this book it had all the genre's I love and a kickass heroine whom I liked but also made me want to strangle her along with her love interest. They were hilarious together but could also be complete buttheads towards each other. Gahhh!!
End of Days by Susan Ee
Yep, I finally read the End of Days the conclusion to the amazing trilogy that I've loved since the beginning. This book was full of action, romance, death and a whole lot of other stuff but don't ask me yet. I'm still in mourning over my favorite trilogy coming to an end. *wipes tears* RAFFE!!
Sisters of Blood and Spirit by Kady Cross
I was really excited for this book because apart from that amazing cover, the summary totally had me wanting it. And although I did enjoy the twin sister's relationship and the evil ghost hunting part of the story. The supporting character's were what depressed me a bit. They were there for most of the story and yet they just sort of blended into the wall. And don't get me started on the romance.*sigh*
Last week I started watching Who Are You: School 2015 (Korean drama) and to be honest it wasn't quite what I expected but as soon as I watched the second episode I couldn't stop myself from watching the rest. It's full of mystery and romance (also a whole lot of secrets) and it just had me at the edge of my seat. I'd say more but I plan on reviewing it on Monday but just know it was pretty interesting! Stay tuned!
Another show I watched was Boss & Me (Chinese drama) with my sister and it was so romantic and hilarious and I loved it....but close to the end it started to drag on and that made me want to hit my head against the wall repeatedly but I still loved it because it did make me laugh a lot. Yep, still not sure how many stars though...
And last but definitely not least I started watching the Scholar Who Walks the Night! Although to be honest I started it because of Lee Joon-Gi and Lee Soo-Hyuk. I mean just look at those handsome face's!
Lee Joon-Gi (plays the main character Kim Sung Yeol whose a sort of recently made vampire but filled with vengeance towards Gwi)
Lee Soo-Hyuk (plays Gwi the evil vampire in the show but totally hot, I have to admit.)
Who can resist them especially as vampires!? *swoons*
In case you're wondering the main girl character(because of course there's romance) who will fall in love with Sung Yeol is Jo Yang-Sun (played by Lee Yoo-Bi) who cross-dresses as a man to sell books in order to keep her family alive.
Aaaanyways athough the first episode was full of death and really sad moments, it kept me wanting more so its no surprise that as soon as I watched the next two episodes I was hooked but its just airing so there's only 4 episodes out which totally sucks but I'll keep you guys posted. FYI I'm giving way more info on this one because it doesn't stop airing until Septemper which means I won't write a review until then. *cries*
P.S. This is why I really love watching historical drama's apart from the amazing actor's and storyline, the costumes are so pretty especially the women hanboks! So gorgeous!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi! Nice to hear from you! I'm glad you got a lot of reading and tv watching done. I've been wanting to start the Penryn and the End of Days trilogy, but I kind of held off because I heard mixed things about the final book. You liked it though, so that makes me want to pick up Angelfall. I'll be on the lookout for your reviews!

I can see why there were mixed reviews on the final book because though I loved End of Days there were quite a few things that I felt should have ended differently but at the same time I was still satisfied with and accepted. Regardless, reading this trilogy is totally worth it, I hope you enjoy!
DeleteI was searching for a good drama to watch and Boss & Me sounds amazing! Thank you for the recommendation :)

Yay! You should definitely watch it, you'll have a blast even with the supporting character's! And the romance was seriously the most swoon worthy of all. ;)
DeleteLots of good books :) I really enjoyed Princess of Thorns! Aurora was awesome but there were times when she needed a slap around the face. But Niklaas!! *swoon* Anyway, I've only read Angelfall and really need to read the rest of the series. I hope you have a great week!

YES, omg I loved Aurora but she seriously made me face palm! As for Niklaas, I admit he was definitely book boyfriend material but also so infuriating. Anyways, yes you really need to continue the rest of Susan Ee's series. Raffe is totally worth it! ;)
DeleteOoh I really wanna read Princess of Thorns. It gets a lot of mixed reviews but I think I'll enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week, you <33
